I love how my fitness club turns all the lights out in the class so I don't have to feel self-conscious about not being able to even get one foot off the ground in crow position. I'm a total novice, but the benefits were felt from the get go! I could feel it in my arms, abs, legs - toning and strengthening parts I didn't know could hurt. The mental detox helps me feel so much more balanced. That crazy I feel from all that stuff on my life's platter...gets magically pacified.
I still gotta hit the cardio (too much spaguetti and garlic bread!), but I can tell you I was missing out on a lot thinking yoga was just an easy stretching class and you couldn't get a good workout from it. Try it if you haven't yet... you will be amazed:)
