LOVE NOTE #125: Whisk Me Away White Wine Reduction Sauce with Pasta



Hi Friends!

Recreate this easy dish in no time! The robust flavors are sure to please those nights when you want something quick, easy, and filling but sans the canned tomato stuff;) Pair this with soup or salad and you will have a complete meal!



Ingredients:


  • 2 cloves of garlic - minced
  • 1/4 cup of white wine
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 1/4 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • red pepper flakes to taste
  • 1/2 pound of uncooked pasta (1/2 a package)
  • 1/2 cup of cherry tomatoes - halved
  • 1 tablespoon of of light margarine

Instructions

  • cook the pasta until desired tenderness, drain, and set aside
  • on medium heat, add oil to medium size pot
  • add minced garlic and saute until golden
  • reduce heat to low add the wine slowly
  • squeeze the lemon into the sauce, add vinegar, garlic salt, garlic powder, pepper, and red pepper flakes
  • leave on low heat for 5 minutes until the sauce reduced by half
  • add pasta and tomatoes, margarine.
  • Stir until margarine is melted and pasta and tomatoes are coated
A vegetarian dish that can easily be dressed up with sausage for the meat lover(s) in your life! A filling and happy dish.
