Rockstar Workout?


Tried it for the first time Saturday morning!  And now I'm mad sore the day after!  Instead I my usual trip to the donut shop, I decided to go to the gym.  And let me tell you, it was the best decision ever.  I finally found a gym I love!  And I'm taking into consideration the ones I've joined on the West Coast and the ones I visited in the Midwest!  The Vanderbilt is about 5 minute from my house and has the best classes and instructors.  It never gets crowded either.  

 But more about this workout.  I was skeptical, but I'm always one to try something new.  And let me tell you the weighted drumsticks gave me a good upper body workout and the music tricked me into doing so many squats and lunges in a 45 minute time frame... I would have never known until I woke up this morning with my gluts and inner thighs sore like they have never been before.  Guess my body was getting use to the treadmill because I had been doing that for months and I never ever felt this sore!  

I've also started doing hot power yoga.  The first time I tried it I was so intimidated I couldn't enjoy it.  I went back again earlier this week with the mindframe that I don't have to perfect every pose and I just do as much as I could until the next class.  And let me tell you, I felt amazing and I think I may be hooked!  It is a good thing I overslept because there was a session today, but I'm way too sore and should use this as my rest day!  I may go to the gym later just for a light treadmill workout though.  I hope to keep this up and drop 30 pounds!!!!  I keep saying that but maybe this time i will be successful with all these new fun classes I'm joining!
