So I've been on a hunt for this shade by Milani called Nude Creme. Sold out at the CVS in my town. Not carried at the local Walgreens. The lipstick display was destroyed at Walmart (I know, I said I would never buy lipsticks at Wally's again ... I change my mind! And this was the only color that didn't even have a used tube!) Gak. I decided to check one more place... the next town over (where all the rich people live... No really! I dream to own a home there someday!)
The CVS was less than 5 minutes away (I live in a small town!) and guess what? They had it! Not one but two! I let out a gasp! The girl standing in the same aisle turned her head towards me and probably thought I was a junkie waiting desperately for my refill on pain meds but got lost in the makeup aisle. Little did she know I was just a lipstick nut! Muahahahaha!
They had all the colors and it was neat and tidy (OMG I want to move to this town so bad!) I was thinking about getting both Nude Cremes in stock, but opted to try the Fruit Punch shade for the BOGO 50% off since I own a respectable stash of nude shades. I spent like 9 bucks for two tubes of lipsticks! Awesome deal!
I rushed home, took off whatever lipstick I had on, added a layer of balm, then swiped the lipstick on... And the hunt was worth it! Creamy, opaque, and didn't dry out my lips. Felt so comfortable and I wore it for 3 to 4 hours and it faded evenly with no weird lines... just pure lipstick gorgeousness:) I love the gold case! A perfect natural peachy-pink nude!
I had reviewed Femme Couture's Nude Kiss in a previous post. The only reason why Milani ranks slightly higher is the case (lipstick bullet fully retracts!) is a lot better and there is more product. The colors are very similar with the Femme Couture appearing slightly lighter on my lips. But I love both!
Anyways, if you love drugstore lipsticks like me, give Milani a try! In fact, I'm gonna run out and get a back of this color right now ... I adore it so much!
